Caregiver Support

Silhouette At Sunset

There are only four kinds of people in the world: those who have been caregivers, those who are currently caregivers, those who will be caregivers, and those who will need caregivers."

Supporting Those Who Care for Others

Many caregivers spend years putting others first. Over time, their own needs can become difficult to recognize.

Who caregivers are:

  • Healthcare workers

  • Parents

  • Partners

  • Adult children

  • Teachers

  • Educational assistants

  • Helping professionals

Common experiences:

  • Burnout

  • Guilt

  • Feeling responsible for everyone

  • Difficulty asking for help

  • Losing yourself in the role

  • Loss of caretaker role

Caring for yourself is not selfish; it is part of sustaining the care you provide to others.
